How long will it take to repay with the Play.com
Balance transfer     Purchases
Fixed payment
By switching to the Play.com, you could pay off £1000 in by budgeting £50 each month. This would effectively cost you £50.
Minimum payment
By comparison, if you only make the minimum payment each month, it would take 4 years and 10 months to repay, costing you a total of £1,426 on top of the original balance! If this seems high, that's because your minimum payment is calculated as a percentage of your balance. This means each payment will be slightly lower than the month before which will have less effect on clearing your balance. So be smart and pay as much as you can afford!

"Play.Com MBNA Visa: Love books, CDs, DVDs and games? Get this card!" Guest, 1st Feb 2011

I used to have the Amazon credit card and when that card expired I noticed that conveniently the Play.com website in conjunction with MBNA had introduced a very similar credit card. The offer was spend £150 on the card in 3 months and receive a £15 Play.com voucher - if you put your normal spending on the card this is easily done. I applied for the card and got accepted no problem, as with any card there is the risk of rejection but MNBA does not seem to be one of the stricter providers. My card and PIN arrived not long after. I spent my £150 and when the time came to claim my voucher this happened really easily and arrived via email a couple of days later. pretty happy!!
