Fixed payment
By switching to the The AA Credit Card, you could pay off £1000 in by budgeting £50 each month. This would effectively cost you £50.
Minimum payment
By comparison, if you only make the minimum payment each month, it would take 4 years and 10 months to repay, costing you a total of £1,426 on top of the original balance!
If this seems high, that's because your minimum payment is calculated as a percentage of your balance. This means each payment will be slightly lower than the month before which will have less effect on clearing your balance. So be smart and pay as much as you can afford!
Customer reviews (1)
"everyday card"
I haven't had any problems with this card -- but, let me first tell you about my usage of the card. I have a 5-figure credit limit on the card, (2/3 available for cash advances), which I've never pushed. I usually use run up about £1,500-4,000 each month, which I pay promptly. Almost all of my recurring monthly charges are also on this card, including ISP services, so I wouldn't consider using the card for balance transfers. On this card, I'm only familiar with normal (heavy) use, so I'm not familiar with their promotional rates or additional services
