Fixed payment
By switching to the NatWest Platinum Credit Card, you could pay off £1000 in by budgeting £50 each month. This would effectively cost you £50.
Minimum payment
By comparison, if you only make the minimum payment each month, it would take to repay, costing you a total of £169,613 on top of the original balance!
If this seems high, that's because your minimum payment is calculated as a percentage of your balance. This means each payment will be slightly lower than the month before which will have less effect on clearing your balance. So be smart and pay as much as you can afford!
Customer reviews (1)
"No cashback!"
I went to the Holborn NatWest branch today to deposit some funds into my account. The cashier then told me that, as a advantage gold customer, I could have £80 in my account today. The advisor told me that I had to take a credit card in order to get the cashback after 12 months. As I want a new CC i agreed to take the platinum, as I need 0% on purchases more than 0% on balance transfer (no debts). The advisor failed to inform me that there would be no cashback with the platinum card but only with the gold card. He processed the application without explaining anything at all. When I asked about the cashback he insisted it was my fault I prefered the platinum card, although he had never specified the differences between the 2 cards. I gave them 1 star as I have to on this site, but they deserve none.
