How long will it take to repay with the Sainsbury's Credit Card

Fixed payment
By switching to the Sainsbury's Credit Card, you could pay off £1000 in by budgeting £50 each month. This would effectively cost you £50.
Minimum payment
By comparison, if you only make the minimum payment each month, it would take 17 years and 9 months to repay, costing you a total of £2,052 on top of the original balance! If this seems high, that's because your minimum payment is calculated as a percentage of your balance. This means each payment will be slightly lower than the month before which will have less effect on clearing your balance. So be smart and pay as much as you can afford!

"good rewards" Guest, 16th Feb 2011

I have had my sainsbury's Standard Visa card now for a few years, i usually use it to pay for my shopping, internet purchases and some occasional bills, or large purchases. The reason i first got my Sainsbury's Visa was my old credit card had very high interest, even if monthly balances were paid off and Sainsbury's were offering an introductory rate of 0% interest for up to 6 months and no annual fee. Which is still available now. I could have transferred my old credit card balances onto my new visa but decided to just pay it off instead. Also you can transfer any store card balances onto it. I find Sainsbury's Visa customer services usually very helpful and polite and not had any problems with them as yet. You can apply for a card on line through Sainsbury's Bank web site, which is quite a good site and easy to use. My personal opinion is i find this a good card if paid up well, if not can be quite costly. The Nectar rewards is a great bonus also.
