How long will it take to repay with the Sainsbury's Nectar Credit Card
Fixed payment
By switching to the Sainsbury's Nectar Credit Card, you could pay off £1000 in by budgeting £50 each month. This would effectively cost you £50.
Minimum payment
By comparison, if you only make the minimum payment each month, it would take 15 years and 1 month to repay, costing you a total of £1,718 on top of the original balance! If this seems high, that's because your minimum payment is calculated as a percentage of your balance. This means each payment will be slightly lower than the month before which will have less effect on clearing your balance. So be smart and pay as much as you can afford!

I use Sainsburys for my weekly shopping all the time as i find they have unbeatable value and service. So about a year ago an instore demonstrator gave me a few leaflets about Sainsburys bank, and instead of throwing them to one side i decided to read them and it seemed like they offered a great cerdit card service, so i applied. First of all the speed of processing your application is very quick and i had my card within 1 week of sending off my application. The customer service is fantastic with very helpful staff just a call away if you have any problems at all. The introductory interest rate was 4.9% for all pruchases and balance transfers for 6 months, so by transfering the balance of my current card card a saved a fortune in interest. After that the interest rate is 19.9% which is still reasonable and about the same as a lot of other credit lenders such as Natwest and Barclays. They don't charge you hurrendous fees for thier services either such as withdrawing from a cash machine, card protection and copy statements, they are very reasonable indeed. They also have a great reward scheme aswell, which really boosts them ahead of the competition. For every £1.00 you spend instore or homebase you receive 2 points which equals 1p. This is in addition to the points you already earn with your reward card. At the end of the month when you receive your statement, your points you have earned are transferred to your reward card, and this really does boost your points dramatically. You also receive 1 point for every pound spent outside the Sainsburys group. When you have 500 points they send to you a reward voucher you can either spend in Sainsburys/Homebase, on airmiles or on one of their many great offers that they have such as clothes shops. You also from time to time get sent information about other services from Sainsburys bank which are often good value for money and very useful. The credit limit they set you is also quite generous and is the highest i have ever received, which really does well for your spending power. You can either pay by direct debit every month or by cheque, whichever is more convenient for you. I really could not fault Sainsburys bank on their credit cards so if you have not got one i advise you to look instore on their information banking stand for offers they have on at the moment
