Countrywide

Summary

Good:
If your bank has fast transfer, the money can be in your account today

Bad:
They charge £36 for every £100 you borrow

Verdict:
Do not apply with this company, they are one of the most expensive payday lenders on the market - if you really need a payday loan go elsewhere because the charges and interest are just ridiculous

Countrywide is a payday lender that can offer you between £100 and £1,000. This loan is to be repaid on your next payday. New customers are limited to a maximum loan amount of £200 and existing customers can borrow up to £1,000 if they repaid their other loans fully and on time. Countrywide charges £36 per every £100 you borrow.

To apply, you will need to complete their online application form - which should take about 10 minutes. You do not need to fax any documents in. If your loan is provisionally approved, they will contact you and inform you of their decision. You will then need to sign your loan agreement electronically. Once you have signed that and they have fully assessed your application, they will fully approve your loan and transfer the money into your bank. If you apply by 3:00pm on a weekday, the money may be able to be transferred into your account the same day. After 3:00pm, the money will be in your bank on the following working day.

A lot of people have had problems with this company stating that they receive numerous phone calls from them harassing them about a loan, keeping you on the phone for lengths of time and then declining you. They do charge a very high rate compared to other payday lenders - £36 for every £100 borrowed. If you are going to get a payday loan, have a look around elsewhere as there are some offering cheaper loans. Please consider all other options before applying for this loan as it should be treated as a last resort.

Please be aware that Countrywide acts as a lender but also acts as an affiliate. This means that when you complete your application form, they will tell you if they are able to offer you a loan. If they aren't, they may recommend another company to you. Do not feel as if you have to apply with the suggested company as this may further impact your credit file.
