Mr Lender
Good:
You can get your money within 2 hours
Bad:
Fees and extra charges are very high if you miss a payment or are late on a payment
Verdict:
They make it easy for you to get a loan but also make it easy to roll over if you cannot repay this month (which means you end up paying more in charges and late fees) - only apply if you are sure you can pay the money back on the agreed date
Mr. Lender offer short terms loans between £10 and £750 (£500 for first time customers). They are very fast and your money can be in your account within two hours if your bank has 'fast transfer'. You don't usually have to provide any documents with your application, but you may have to. This loan is repayable on your next payday but please ensure you can pay it on your next payday otherwise you will end up paying a lot more money than originally agreed.
You can apply online with Mr. Lender. Use the tool on their home page to decide how much you want to borrow and which date you want to repay it, then complete their one stage application form. Sometimes, if Mr. Lender cannot offer you a payday loan, they will suggest another company who may be able to help you. If you are accepted by Mr. Lender, they will contact you to ask you any further questions or they may request you to provide further documents. Once you have provided all of this and they have assessed your application, they will send you an electronic loan agreement to sign. When you have signed this, they will transfer the money into your account.
Make sure you can pay back this loan when you say you will as they will add any late or default charges onto your loan, which could lead to you paying back double or even triple what you originally owed. If you run into trouble, Mr. Lender are known for making it easy to roll over your loan to the next month. if you choose to do this, remember that the interest still applies so you will end up paying more back over the length of the loan.
Please be aware that Mr Lender acts as a lender but also acts as an affiliate. This means that when you complete your application form, they will tell you if they are able to offer you a loan. If they aren't, they may recommend another company to you. Do not feel as if you have to apply with the suggested company as this may further impact your credit file.
These idiots use humiliation as a way of getting their money back if you are unable to repay the loan. They seem to employ unlawful tactics as well to keep to the loan agreement knowing fair well there is always a cooling off period but do this company bother paying any attention to the Office of Fair Trading's guidelines do they heck as like (to put a less stronger phrase for the kids that might see this review). I am going to be using this company as a way of allowing the OFT to investigate irresponsible payday lenders on how this company actually are in breach of their credit licence by ignoring a cooling off period pretending it does not apply to them when it applies to anyone offering any type of financial agreement (contractual of course) long term or otherwise! They said I used abusive language what? Telling them what they do in return what hypocrites they are, good will gesture my *** as my loan was written off, it's the fact they know they messed up but I am still reporting them to the OFT with the way they ignored my initial request to cancel my loan within 24hours of taking it out as per a cooling off period.
OMG mr lender at the start helped me out a great deal i got a 200 quid loan from them paid it bk and now after paying it bk BEFORE the start date i have now had over 1.678.00 taken from my account.. have lost my job after the women and debt collector barry abusing my manager.. and im in a court battle at the moment..!! wether yo have paid them before the deadline or not they WILL RIPP YOU OFF. please guys stay away!! i will be on BBC's watchdog in june to discuss
stay clear of mr lender all a big scam u will end up paying alot more they only take the inyerest every month and claim to explain this i missed one payment and my owe has gone over a 100 pound staff are rude and not helpfull at all ovepr the phone i will b informing the 3000 friends on facebook and advising them to do the same mr lender is a complete scam!!!!!
I found them very helpful and polite. Staff where very helpful and understanding. I also was very comftable talking to their staff with no embarressment. When i was struggling to make payments back to them they kindly offered me a repayment plan which lifted a huge weight of my shoulder. Would recommend them over any pay day loan company.
All, don't even go there... i was going through the application process, attitude stank couldn't get any thing right, they wanted to talk to my manager at work to confirm I worked at the company as i was on leave... what's all that about... Going by other reviews don't do it however desperate you are.. I woke up before they completed the application hope you all do the same... good luck keep smiling
I Have previously worked for Mr Lender for a short period of time, and i must say , the whole company is a DISGRACE. There are actual targets to get customers to spend as much money as they can i.e take up same day fees and such. None of this is mentioned in the original contract that they send to you. To actually give you the loan, we had to RING your work. and if we wasnt successful the first time, wed keep trying and trying again. When it comes to collections, they are a bunch of Vile people who have nothing else to do other than to insult customers who havnt paid back. Even though it may only be just 1 day. They aim to call each person at least 15 times an hour until they get through and have something sorted with the customer... The Management is a joke aswell, they sit on the arse all day giving out orders and such, all to get there bonuses. When it was us, who actually had to do the hard work. There are plenty of lenders out there which will be far better than this Two Bob Company. Trust Me. I worked there.
So you lot ask for money from Mr Lender & when you tell the comPany you can't pay them back the money you took.... You have a bitch. Obviously they're going to hunt you down and ring you all the time.... News flash it's not your money? If you tell someone your going tO borrow money & then fail to give it back on the right day I believe anyone wOuld be pissed off tbh.... Don't borrow money if you can't pay it back....simple.
Amazing, had my money within 3 hours, would def recommend them, even with a bad credit rating
ive used mr lender and found them to be very very helpful and at a time when i had lost my job after making my application they were very undertsanding and set me up with a very good repayment plan scheme which was afforable to me. They where quite efficent and made me feel more comfortbale than ANY of the other payday lenders that ive used. use mr lender but be responsible!!!!
WARNING I have used all the payday lenders, if you can call Mr Lender a payday loan, as they are in a league of their own of unprofessionalness and in some cases illegal. They WILL charge more than others, they will take money from you even when you have paid, they will take wrong amounts, and getting that back is practically IMPOSSIBLE. They will use every trick in the book to turn the tables on their side. The customer services team are so unprofessional it's incredible, and if wrong amounts are taken etc, guess what, there isn't a telephone number to complain, you have to send an email which won't get answered. They charge more than others, you book a rollover and then they take the full amount and tell you you didn't book a rollover, they charge more than ALL other payday loans including an extra admin fee they don't tell you about and 30 quid for every hundred. I could write pages and pages more, do yourself a favour and use WONGA.COM, they are cheaper, quicker, more professional as they sponsor a premiership team so have to be professional and don't treat you like a piece of shite like mr lender do
I am warning anybody out there that is thinking about dealing with this company, no matter how desperate you are, do not, i repeat, do not deal with this company. The worst case of rudeness and harrassment I have ever experienced. These people will CALL YOUR WORKPLACE AND HARRASS YOU IF YOU ARE LATE BY EVEN 1 DAY, though they have your home and mobile number. Any explanation or arrangement you may want to offer is met with rude and abusive language and persistent insults. The manager, is a woman that has to be the most unprofessional person I have ever had the displeasure of talking to. These guys will drive you to despair. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
THESE PEOPLE PURCHASE YOUR DETAILS FROM OTHER LENDERS AND WHEN PHONING THEIR OFFICES THEY SAY THEY ARE CLOSED WHEN CLEARLY THE WEBSITE STATES THEY ARE OPEN AT THE TIME I CALLED THEM. PAYMENTS SECTIONED QUITE HAPPILY PICKED UP THE PHONE TO WHICH THEY WANTED TO GIVE ME ANOTHER NUMBER - WHY IS THIS ALTERNATIVE NUMBER NOT ON THE WEBSITE DODGY DODGY DODGY!!!!! I WOULD GIVE THEM NO STARS BUT THIS SITE INSISTS I GIVE EM A RATING
I have used mr lender 4 times over the last couple of years for some emergency money and always paid back on time (sometimes early). I have always found them to be very professional and friendly and I would recommend them.
Mr Lender is quick to offer out money but is possibly one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever had to deal with. Every person I spoke to was rude and just wanted to rush through my application. When speaking to a manager - (Eleanor? has anyone else had to deal with her?) I couldn't believe how unprofessional she was. If a team is managed by such a rude woman, it's no suprise Mr Lender results in harrassment! Would warn anyone against using this company in the future.
I absolutely shocked when reading these reviews luckily my experience was completely different! I paid back my first 2 months rollovers with Mr Lender and then came in to some finacial difficulty. I emailed them and recieved a swift response they originall asked to pay the interest only and rollover the loan again. I explained this was not an option for me espeically as I had already paid 2 lots of interest. They set me up a repayment plan and have not had to speak to them since the only contact I have with them is when they send me confirmation of payment! Very Helpful company!!!
I'm absolutely appalled with the level of service from this company. I called and explained that my financial situation has changed so I need to re structure the loan, rather than trying to help me they continued to tell me that I took out the loan and it's my responsibility to pay it back, which I wasn't questioning. I asked to be put through to a manager who was actually 100x ruder, telling me that I have to pay over £800 on a loan that I took out for £300. I asked what would happen if I didn't pay anything, send out the heavies to break my legs? What a bunch on inconsiderate SHARKS!!! Quick to pay out so you don't have time to consider what you are getting yourself into.
They called shouting the odds at my receptionist when she stated that I could not take personal calls at work, then threatened my receptionist stating that she was me. Were advised not to contact the works number again and asked for my head office HR number to question them. Highly unprofessional when I advised I was seeking out a repayment with my debt in general and asked for time to organise my finances.
I decided not to go ahead with MrLender as I had read that they ring you at work. Lo and behold, even after I have replied to THEIR email saying I dont want to go ahead, three phone calls (one to my work) and continuing text messages. They may well give you the money quickly and they may be cheaper but they WILL bother you at work when this may well be a very private and potentially embaarrading matter. Avoid.
"Mr Lender" is comletelly rubish..!!! You fill the form with all your personal information and debit card details, wait for the decision and boom. Instead of some offer or decline they pass all yoursubmitted information to all different lender or even brokers. Than you can expect endless texts on your mobile and emails. They are absolutelly Useless...!!! Stay Away, rather go for "Wonga", you get the money instantly in 15minutes on your account.
I like many others took out a loan with Mr Lender. Like many others got into financialy difficulty and had problems keeping up the repayments/rollovers of interest with them. I have to say however, someone in their review above mentioned "Amy", that unlike the problems this writer had I actually found her really helpful and came to an agreement with them that I could afford and have now paid them off with no further problems. Anyway, just my opinion, credit where credits due I say.
You are promised a straight forward loan with these people but then you are bombarded with phone calls, emails etc. I have been a mystery shopper for different loan companies and found that this was the worse,....
I looked at getting a loan from them - was offered £397 repayment on a £300 loan (which itself is shocking) so declined it and just knuckled down budget wise. Probably a good decision. However, MrLender took it upon themselves to then sell the "lead" to lower scum who hounded me by email, text message and telephone to take out a loan with them. On the first day alone I got 19 emails, 8 text messages and 5 phone calls. Many of these companies were based overseas (the USA mainly). Despite telling each one to politely get lost - they still continue to call & email. One company in particular emails almost every couple of hours reminding me my "loan is approved". There seems to be no way to shake off these parasites. I am dreading the amount of unsolicited credit searches that I will need to get cleared off. I might have to contact CIFAS to get a protective registration. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
I dealt with this company out of desperation but they seemed ok. Then one month had financial problems and asked for deferral. they ransacked my account and withdrew the full amount in 5 transactions in the same day, this cleared me out for the month and still they said I owed more because of charges and intrest. I have since emailed them and told them on the phone that I am applying for bankruptcy as it is the only option open to me at this point. Their response is to text and ring me morning noon and night. I have asked them for all contact to be in writing but they will not do this. Last week ****, from Mr Lender, called the office line where I work, a work colleague answered the call as i was with a client. They insisted on speaking to me so I took the call and explained that I was not able to discuss it at that time but that I would call when I got home. The woman was very aggresive and shouting down the phone. I ended the call and went back to the client. **** called straight back and when told I had left my desk became aggresive again calling my colleague a lier and demanding to be put through to me. My Manager heard this exchange and took the call. He explained that I was working and not able to take the call. He then had to tell Amy not to raise her voice to him and this was followed by her blocking the work line for half an hour. During this time she told him where she was calling from and why. She said I never contact them and she will keep ringing until it is sorted. In the end my Manager insisted that she needed to clear the line as she was affecting the running of the business he said he would get me to call after 1 the next day when I went to lunch. The next day she was on the phone again at 6 minutes past 1 because I hadnt called her. Another colleague answered the call and was met with a barrage of questions, she explained that I had not gone to lunch yet and would be going shortly **** demanded to be put through regardless. I told my colleague to tell her that I would go straight on lunch and would ring her straight away which I did and amazingly I was passed around her office and eventually told she had gone to lunch... I bet she had. To cut this very long story of harrassment and distress short, they wont be able to do this again after Friday as I no longer have a job.
Your review I borrowed £250.00 from Mr Lender and paid about 5 months interest only of £50.00 as i was unable to pay the full amount, i eventually explained to them that i had debt problems and they were okay then out of the blue they decided to take 3 payments from my bank without telling me, this amount was nearly £400.00 which was money i had in my account for my rent, i rang them straight away and they said well you owed it so tough they are evil callus people who threaten you, ring you all the time and do not care a less if you were to jump off a bridge due to the financial pressure they put us under UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES US THESE PEOPLE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF THEY ARE AS BAD AS LOAN SHARKS THEY ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THEY DO NOT BEAT YOU UP *****************************
These people are shocking, I'd swerve them like the plague. Despite asking for an extension on my loan, they took the full amount in a month I couldnt afford to pay it. Having spoken to one of their advisors, they advised me that the best course of action would be to re-apply for another loan. Inconvenient I thought, but mistakes happen so re-apply I did. Only to then be refused after looking at my credit file. (Despite being a customer of theirs for over a year and never missed any kind of payment). After then checking my credit file, I realised that the reason for this was because Mr Lender had on 3 occasions sent records to call credit saying that I had been late or been in arrears with my payment. Theyve also left a record on there saying I have a balance of £150 with them from months ago!! I had never once missed a payment with them! I have since sent a letter of compaint and e-mailed asking them to remove the incorrect details from my credit file but surprise surprise have yet to hear back from them. Shocking company
We I first got the loan they were great. After I had a problem the calls and emails started. When I did agree a payment plan they followed it for a couple of months and then took £400 out of my account, without permission. Then tried to blame it on the computers!! Bullsquidal!! Hid behind a "Complaints dont need to be answered for 4 months" well, it has been 4 months and now, needless to say, the FSO is now involved. Here's hoping for a swift outcome.
mr lender are very unreliable they really put me in a fix this month. I borrowed £250. Called them spoke to them and requested they take the intreats only, which they agreed only to be shocked on payday to realise they have taken £315.50 from my account. Called them and met with very a very rude person. Am not using them again
BEWARE - very quick to payout - even quick to harass you. Got into difficulties with late pay day. They sent lots of Text, email + phone calls to work several times, very rude and threateninig. Stay away from this lot!
long winded, didnt get the amount i asked for but still the same fee as originally quoted even tho i borrowed less money was harrased by text and email and calls while i was at work, rubbish staff, not very good experience :(
Fantastic! Why didn't I go with these people before? They were speedy and reliable - no one else would touch me because of my gambling debts, but the team at Mr Lender were understanding, within the hour I got £3000.
I found Mr Lender to be extremely easy and quick, i applied online in the evening, the next day i received an email letting me know i have been accepted and the funds were transferred to my account, There is a rollover service if you cant pay on your promised date,Very good, i would definitely recommend,
Your reviewI had a loan with Mr Lender and rolled over about 3 times and then get in trouble :( They were very good in helping me get back on track with their loan and would strongly recommend them....just make sure you pay them back.
