TFS Guarantor Loans
Good:
They can help you even if you have had bad credit in the past
Bad:
You need to provide a guarantor who will back up your application and make payments if you fail to do so
Verdict:
The interest on this rate is competitive and low compared to other guarantor lenders but get some more information before applying
TFS's Guarantor Loans offer between £1500 and £7,500, providing you have someone that is willing to sign as a guarantor. This means that if you fail to pay the loan, they promise to make the payments for you. Your guarantor must be between aged 23 and 69, they must have a good credit history and they must be a homeowner.
TFS's loans are provided by a company called AnyTypeOfLoan.co.uk so the email you receive will be from them and the application you need to fill out will have their details on it.
You can apply online or over the phone with TFS Loans. If you are applying via the internet you can click the apply button above and complete their short application form. Once you have completed the short application form, they will email you an application form. Print this form off, complete it and sign it, then send it back to them at: TFS Loans, Finance House, 1074-1078 London Road, Leigh on Sea, Essex (or you can fax it to them on 0151 353 1105). TFS may also ask you to send them some documents such as payslips, bank statements and photo ID.
TFS loans website is not very informative. There is little company information, little privacy information, no Terms & Conditions and little information on the loans they provide. There is also little information about them on any other websites either so before applying, give them a call on 01702 482 798 and get some more information.
I chose not to go with TFS because I didn't completely trust them but I will say one good thing about them is their no-obligation quote. They can give you loan details without you actually applying. Still, it didn't make me want to apply to them.
TFS Guarantor loans are rubbish. All you need to do is look at their website. I sent my application off to them and I didn't hear back from their for about two weeks. Only for them to tell me i'd been declined. Waste of my time.
